Oh the places I've been. April has been an intesting month for me here in Akron, Ohio USA. The weather has gradually been turning nicer in fits and spasms. I've been able to get out and do a little more walking with my camera which is refreshing. These are some places I've been. All locations are in Akron. Enjoy.

BIKES ONLY
Located on S Main St in Akron and fairly close to downtown (only a few blocks away), This bar is a standout with its bold red coloring.
Bikes only is usually pretty busy in the warmer months and they have a huge enclosed patio area out back.
Also known as "DADDY's" you can barely see the letters in the blue windows.

TRACKSIDE BARBECUE

THE LOW SPARK OF HIGH HEELED BOYS
The Dancers Den is just one of many locations around Akron that cater to "adult" male entertainment. A bar with live dancers. Always hiring. 21 and over only.
So I've noticed that so many of these types of locations have red doors. I find it humorous that a lot of Churches also have red doors. The red doors on churhes are to signify that something holy lies behind the doors and is linked to that Israelite passover in Egypt before the exodus. I'm reminded by one of my favorite songwriters, Jim White, who sings, "A bar is just a church where they serve beer" - so maybe there is something holy behind that door after all. :-)
