On this project I wanted to push photography to the very edge. So these are my further explorations into non-representational and non-pictorial photography. For Dark City I went to the extreme dark. So dark in fact that features become "lost" in the darkness and only hints of what exists remains. Traces that are indecipherable. This project is a companion piece to a forthcoming project called "LUMINOUS CITY". The photographs in both projects were taken in downtown Akron one Sunday morning while walking up and down streets, alleys and in-and-out of carparks.
